Investing in education benefits everyone
Our Story
Sylvie Milverton and Lamia Rouai founded Lynx out of a shared belief that companies across Europe wanted quality education options that match their workplace learning needs without wasting endless time looking for the best providers.
They realized that together they had exactly the right blend of education and business experience to deliver that vision of a far simpler way to connect companies to an array of learning opportunities.
Lamia and Sylvie met in 2017 at a corporate retreat while playing very different roles at a French higher education company: Sylvie as chief financial officer and Lamia as dean of a business school.
They felt an instant connection that deepened as they started working together, soon discovering some clues as to why a finance executive from the Northeastern US would have a natural affinity with a physics professor from North Africa. Lamia grew up in the same Algerian city as Sylvie’s father and that intersection of family history in part explains their very different paths to the values they share today: the importance of education in a complex world as well as love of family and culture.
Soon after meeting, Sylvie and Lamia promised each other that they would one day work together, based on those values and in their own way, to forge a new approach to education that would deliver greater value for learners, companies and society. Lynx is the result of that promise.
